Unlike speaking, which involves 2 or more parties working together to communicate, reading and writing require a person to work alone with only the words on the page or screen. Speaking allows for immediate feedback and clarification; reading and writing demand that clarity be built into the text.
The Write Sense aims to help you read and write better in English. These skills are essential to your success in your studies, your career, and your life in general.
Adam’s deep love for and expert knowledge of the English language underpin his understanding that the key to improving one’s abilities in reading and writing in English is a strong grasp of the foundations of the language, namely grammar, vocabulary, and syntax. This is why he works hard to design and create courses and offer services and products that focus directly on building reading and writing skills.

More about Adam Benn
Adam has been working with the English language for over 25 years as a teacher, a certified editor, author, and copy writer. Adam honed his writing skills while working in five countries and online, as well as during his bachelor’s studies in philosophy and master’s work in English literature.
Over the years, Adam has helped many applicants secure admissions to universities and colleges in both English and non-English speaking countries. He has also improved many CVs and resumes, fine-tuned academic essays (up to and including doctoral dissertations), helped referees write letters of recommendation, and boosted clients’ bottom lines through effective copy.
Adam has also written several books to help students prepare for the IELTS and TOEFL English exams and is currently working on a grammar series. He has nearly 4 million subscribers on two YouTube channels: Youtube.com/writetothetop & Youtube.com/EngvidAdam
A native-speaking Canadian, Adam currently resides in Busan, S. Korea. He loves to travel and meet different people from all over the world, and when not immersed in words, he loves cooking, and especially eating; he works out at the local gym and paddleboards in the summer sea. Weekends are for quality time with family and friends.
